Please sign up and pick up a packing list at one of the Monday meetings. Eat breakfast before you arrive. Bring permission and medical forms. Monday, February 27 No Scout Meeting (No School) Saturday. March 3 Blue Hills Merit Badge Clinic NATIONAL SCOUT JAMBOREE 2013 Several Scouts have expressed interest
in attending the 2013 National Scout Jamboree. To signup, go to
the Council web site (bsa-cvc.org) and follow the link. You must
register online AND submit a $100 deposit to the
Scout Center to be registered. If you would like to use money in your Troop Scout Account, please submit a receipt or other proof of payment to our treasurer (Mr. Scobie) and he will issue a reimbursement. Please read over ALL the information about the Jamboree before you register. The total trip cost will be $1500-2000. SM / ASM TRAINING All Scoutmasters and Assistant
Scoutmasters will be required to have attended: Leader Specific
and Outdoor Skills Training. Upcoming training dates are: Leader
Specific: October 22 and Outdoor Skills: October 29-30. If you
can, please complete these trainings
ATTENTION ALL SCOUTS All
scouts should bring their Boy Scout Handbook to every meeting. New scouts will need to
get books updated with advancements earned at camp.
ATTENTION ALL LEADERS All leaders must take the on line youth
protection course. When
you complete the course, you will receive a certificate (suitable for
framing). Print
this out and give a copy to Mr. Buchmann.
New leaders will not be registered until they
return the certificate! Any questions, contact Mr.
Buchmann or the Scout Office.
NEWSLETTERS Newsletters
are published monthly and mailed to each family.
If you have something to place in the newsletter, please
email it to: newsletter@cv-troop13.com
by the 15th of the month before. Newsletters
are placed on
the Troop 13 website as soon as they are completed.
AUTHORIZATION FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT FORMS All
scouts attending camp will need an up to date form.
If you have not filled out a form since the end of last
school year, please update our records with a new form.
Forms are available on line, or at any of our meetings. SCOUT MASTER CONFERENCE AND BOARD OF REVIEW If
you need a Scoutmaster Conference or Board of Review, you will need to
contact Mr. Railie and Mr. Tozer before the
Monday meeting.
You will need to wear your Class A uniform. NO SCHOOL / NO SCOUTS If the Chippewa Falls
School district cancels school or closes school early because of the
weather, any scouting activity scheduled for that evening will be
canceled. You will not be notified.
