NEWS:Meet at Four Corners (intersection of Hwy S & 178) Last day to sign up for Spring Camporee Monday, May 11 - SCUBA - 6:00pm-8:00pm Chippewa Falls Middle School You
must be at least 12 years old to SCUBA. If you are under 12, you may go
swimming. Please fill out the enclosed SCUBA release form. This
form does NOT have to be signed by a doctor UNLESS you have one of the
conditions listed on the front of the form. Friday, May15-Sunday, May 17 - Spring Camporee - Meet at Church at 6:00pm Work
on Cooking, Communications, Fishing, and Wilderness Survival Merit
Badges. Dutch Oven Cook-off on Saturday night. Bonfire with skits.
These are just some of the fun activities at the Spring Camporee held
down by the Mud Bog Pit in Cadott. Please register by May 4 if you are planning to go. Monday, May 18 - Trap Shooting - Meet at Church at 6:00pm Eau Claire Rod and Gun We
will have instructions on firing shotguns and be able to do some
shooting. Shotguns will be provided. If you have a shotgun and shells,
you may bring them along to use. Bring your own shells, or $5 to purchase some. The EC Rod and Gun is located at: 801 Schoettl Ave in Eau Claire. For map: ecrodandgun.com Sunday, May 24 - BIke Ride Fundraiser Please wear your BLUE Troop 13 T-Shirt to the bike ride fundraiser. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Gustafson. Sign up to work at the Monday meetings. Monday, May 25 - No Scout Meeting - Memorial Day Satureday, May 30-Sunday, May 31 - Canoe Campout Monday, June 1- Court of Honor 6:00pm Dinner—awards ceremony to follow. All scouts and their families are invited. Please bring a large dish to pass.
Scouts should wear Class A Uniforms. Monday, July 13 - Summer Camp Organizational Meeting - 6:30pm Sunday, July 26-Friday, July 31 - Summer Camp SUMMER CAMP - July 26-August 1 Merit
badge selections are due June 1. All other forms are due at the
planning meeting on Monday, July 13. If you have any questions, see Mr.
Buchmann or Mr. Normand. GREAT LAKES CENTENNIAL JAMBOREE—September 25-27, 2009 Scouts
from three states (WI, IL, MI) will be joining in a once in a lifetime
opportunity to help celebrate and kickoff the 100th Anniversary of the
Boy Scouts of America. Some of the activities include: BMX Bike
Challenge, Geocaching, Dunk Tank, Guitar Hero Competition, Radio
Controlled Model Airplanes, Fly Fishing Demos. See the Troop 13 web
site for a list of more activities. Evening Show Featuring The Dweebs
and Miss Wisconsin. Cost of the weekend is $36 if you sign up by May
24, otherwise it is $46. All registrations must be in by September 1. For more information: www.glcj.org FRIENDS OF SCOUTING—We reached our goal! Thank you! We
have reached our goal, but only if everyone returns their pledged money
by June 1st. Thank you for your continued support of Boy Scouts and
Troop 13. BSA TODAY MAGAZINE All leaders should be receiving the
Chippewa Valley Council Magazine BSA Today. Starting in July, the
council will be switching to a monthly email newsletter. To receive the

AUTHORIZATION FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT FORMS Please fill out a new form for each scout. Updated forms will be required for all Troop 13 outings.
NEWSLETTER INSERTS In order to save paper, ink, and
printing costs, newsletter inserts such as permission slips and camp
packing lists will only be mailed to scouts. All inserts will be
available on the Troop 13 web site under newsletters. At the
February planning meeting we will discuss having an email only
newsletter available to scouts to save on newsletter postage costs as
well.
HAPPY 75th ANNIVERSARY TROOP 13 Troop 13 is the longest continuous running troop in the Chippewa Valley Council, celebrating its 75th anniversary this year!
SCOUTMASTER CONFERENCE AND BOARDS OF REVIEWS If you need a Scoutmaster Conference or
Board of Review, you will need to contact Mr. Normand and Mrs. Suilmann
before the Monday meeting.
You will need to wear you Class A uniform.

PICTURES NEEDEDIf you have pictures of Sea Base,
Summer Camp, or any other Troop 13 activity, please give Mr. Buchmann a
copy for use on our web site. Digital copies are best, but he
will take whatever you have. Pictures will be returned to you.
DEN CHIEFSCub Scout Packs in the area are looking
for Den Chiefs to help with meetings. If you are available,
please talk to Mr. Buchmann. Den Chief is an approved leadership
position needed for rank advancement.
2010 SCOUT JAMBOREE The 2010 National Jamboree is just
around the corner. The Jamboree committee is excited about having you
participate in this huge event.

School district cancels school or closes school early because of the
weather, any scouting activity scheduled for that evening will be
canceled. You will not be notified.
